Our team volunteered at the local Food Bank! We were split into two groups to do multiple tasks like organizing food, doing market runs, and setting up the store.
This is really such a simple thing that makes it so much easier for people to knowingly make donations and do so more often and find things they actually want to give to or are passionate about. The ways you can look things up as well as places you can go and volunteer is really a cool idea.
It was great. I did filled in the information about historical figures. I chose folks I was already familiar with so I can deepen my knowledge on them. I ended up crying because one of the quotes resonated with me so much. This was an impactful event overall.
We packed food for the hungry, it was a fun fast paced atmosphere. We learnt a lot and had fun doing the work.
