On May 18th, Percent Pledge hosted it’s second public virtual volunteer event—making our internal volunteer events available externally, to our community, so that everyone can make an impact alongside us.
Together, 19 volunteers conducted mock interviews with 19 Per Scholas learners, providing insights into their technical skills and social and emotional intelligence. Per Scholas candidates were also able to gain valuable practice speaking with working professionals and to prepare for the next step in their journey — jobs.
Mock interviews are a powerful tool for job seekers as they prepare for job interviews. They provide a safe and supportive environment to practice their interview skills, receive feedback, and refine their approach. For many, this can be the difference between landing a job and being passed over for a position.
The Percent Pledge community conducted mock interviews to help job seekers gain the confidence and skills they need to succeed in the job market. And contributed to the economic growth of our community by supporting the development of a talented and qualified workforce.
