Supporting Women in Science: Our Women’s History Month Event
How Corporate Volunteering Honors Women’s History Month
On March 7, 2025, employees from companies worldwide came together to celebrate Women’s History Month through virtual volunteering.
In partnership with Dr. Sonia Sethi, Dr. Caitlin Potter, and Dr. Elena West, Percent Pledge hosted a unique volunteer event supporting women in STEM. Dr. Sethi, an endocrinology physician and bioethicist, shared insights on gender equity in healthcare, while Dr. Potter and Dr. West introduced their conservation research on woodpecker habitats.
Volunteers then played a direct role in advancing their work by identifying and classifying woodpecker nests. This hands-on experience not only supported women in STEM but also allowed volunteers to contribute directly to scientific discovery.
Virtual Volunteering: One Hour Can Make an Impact
In just one hour, volunteers both contributed to ongoing conservation research and honored the contributions of women in STEM. Our unique Community Volunteer Events create a simple yet powerful way for employees to give back in just one hour.
